Mike Ingram has had a life long interest in military subjects. He spent many years as a defence journalist having  innumerable articles published on both modern and historical subjects as well as books.His last book published was the 'MP 40 sub-machine gun' for Spellmount and described in a review as the definitive book on the subject. Mike also had a long career in marketing management and brings these leadership skills to the 'Corporate Staff Rides'. In 2008 he was awarded a Masters Degree with merit in 'Britain and the Second World War' from the University of Birmingham.  He is a member of both the Battlefields Trust and the Guild of Battlefield Guides. He is also Chairman of the D-Day Dodgers Research Group, a historical group dedicated to research into the often forgotten Italian campaigns of World War Two. His research interests include the War in Italy 1943-45, Military Tactics and Medieval Warfare.
